To switch between a side-by-side and split view, press Shift+Y. To switch from Left/Right to Top/Bottom, press Alt+Y. The Split modes show half the Before image and half the After image, as shown next.

There’s three other buttons on the Before & After toolbar. From left to right, they are:

Copy Before’s Settings To After. If you edit your picture but the Before image still looks better, click this button to undo all your changes. If the Before picture shows the unedited photo, this resets all your changes to the original settings when you imported the picture.

Copy After’s Settings To Before. Click this to copy your settings from the After picture to the before. Now, you can make additional changes and compare those additional changes to the image’s status at the point you clicked this button, rather than the original, unedited image.

Swap Before And After Settings. This copies the settings from Before to After, and from After to Before. Essentially, it undoes all of your changes, and allows you to compare any future changes to your current edit.
